Appointed Board Member - NZ Maori Rugby Board

The New Zealand Maori Rugby Board Incorporated (“NZMRB”) invites applications for three (3) Appointed Board Member positions on its Board. The vacancies relate to terms of one (1), two (2) and three (3) years respectively, all commencing on or about 16 April 2019.

NZMRB’s objects are to promote and develop rugby pathways amongst Maori, to monitor the Regional Maori Rugby Boards, to establish arrangements for Maori rugby tournaments and other events, to seek and distribute funding and sponsorship for Maori rugby and to advocate on behalf of Maori rugby.

The role requires a governance focus, with responsibility for setting the strategic direction for Maori rugby in New Zealand. Applicants for the positions will have knowledge of Tikanga and Te Reo, and skills and experience from the corporate, commercial, government, sports or community sectors that complement and strengthen the expertise of the NZMRB Board.
